New Features

In addition to Data Rooms and Auto Alerts, SmartCabinet 5.0 includes a number of enhancements that will please existing users.

Administrative

  • User permission assignments — now use the handy check boxes to assign permissions on what types of content and folders each user can access.
  • Trash bin — now SmartCabinet administrators can access a trash bin to view and recover deleted content.
  • Auto password generation for new users — high security passwords automatically assigned in keeping with IT's standards.
  • User Types — we have added new user types and enhanced and further defined their functions for greater flexibility.
  • Notifications — customize user notifications beyond existing capabilities to now include document type and subtype.

Search

  • Negative searches — further define your search for content by specifying documents sets that you DON'T want to see. Ie, give me all the leases for this portfolio EXCEPT...
  • Multi-select from search results — click the check box for the documents or folders you wish to download, copy, move or delete.
  • Document Link Navigation Bar — document links from a search results page will stay visible in a navigational bar, allowing immediate one click viewing of multiple pieces of content including document info.
  • Folder specific meta data now completely searchable.

Content

  • "Release by" date for content check in —check content into SmartCabinet and schedule a future date when you want it released and accessible to appropriate users.
  • Short cut access to documents and folders in other locations — see content and folders stored in other areas that are pertinent to your search.
  • Now store content at every level of SmartCabinet
  • Enhanced Work Flow functionality
